On a light grey textured background, large black text on the left reads “ESN unveils the Action Plan 2026–2027,” with orange italic text below stating “Erasmus Student Network’s Action Plan 2026–2027.” On the right, a tilted image of the Action Plan 2026–2027 booklet cover is displayed, featuring the ESN logo and title. Decorative orange doodles and accents surround the booklet, with a vertical blue bar along the left edge of the graphic.

The Erasmus Student Network has officially adopted its Action Plan for the academic year 2026-2027, outlining actions that will guide the Network over the coming year and contribute to implementing ESN’s Vision and Strategic Priorities 2025-2031 and the Three-Year Strategy 2025-2028.

The Action Plan translates ESN’s long-term ambitions into concrete and measurable actions that will strengthen international mobility, improve the international student experience, and reinforce ESN’s role within the mobility ecosystem across Europe and beyond.

During the upcoming academic year, ESN will reinforce its core priorities by further establishing itself as a credible actor in international mobility through evidence-based work and targeted advocacy. Through research, policy contributions, projects, and partnerships, the Network will address key topics such as inclusion, housing, mental health, sustainability, digitalisation, and access to international opportunities, while actively contributing to discussions on the future of Erasmus+.

Particular emphasis will be placed on recognising and supporting volunteers, improving internal processes and governance, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and advancing ESN’s digital transformation by implementing and expanding the digital ESNcard and a more integrated digital ecosystem. The academic year will also place greater emphasis on measuring, analysing, and demonstrating ESN’s societal impact, ensuring that activities across all levels of the organisation contribute to clear outcomes and long-term value.

The document is structured around ESN’s six Strategic Priorities:

  1. International Mobility and Student Support
  2. Volunteer Management and Development
  3. Governance and Membership
  4. Visibility, Outreach and External Relations
  5. Digitalisation of Mobility and IT Infrastructure
  6. Impact and Community Engagement

As the second Action Plan supporting the Three-Year Strategy 2025-2028, this document builds upon the work of previous mandates while enabling ESN to respond to emerging challenges and opportunities. It serves as a shared roadmap for National Organisations, Sections, volunteers, and ESN International, ensuring a common commitment to strengthening international mobility and enhancing the international student experience for the Erasmus Generation.
